Pier André Côté impressed on stage 3b of Tour Poitou-Charentes. The Canadian rode to 11th place in the 23.5km time-trial from Monts-sur-Guesnes to Loudon, finishing 43 seconds behind stage winner Ben Hermans (Israel Start-Up Nation). Brit Connor Swift (Team Arkéa Samsic) did enough to wrestle the overall lead from stage 3a winner Elia Viviani (Cofidis, Solutions Crédits). He goes into the hilly final day with a ten-second advantage over Bruno Armirail (Groupama – FDJ).
