Women’s Tour of Scotland | Road to Dunfermline impassable

Stage 1 of the inaugural Women’s Tour of Scotland got off to a harrowing start on Friday. Starting in Dundee and traveling southward, the peloton was battered with high winds and torrential rain before race organizers and local police were forced to abandon the stage to Dunfermline due to washed-out roads and insurmountable standing water. Stage 2 from Glasgow to Perth is expected to occur as planned.
