Paris-Tours | Fin de la saison

The final race of the season, Paris-Tours. A 217 km journey from Chartres to Tours. Canadian road champ Adam de Vos made the early break, crosswinds blew the peloton apart, and the team chased down a dangerous group to setup Robin Carpenter for the finale but a crash at an inopportune time ended his chances at a result.

Paris-based photographer Ethan Glading has documented the team’s journey in Europe over the course of the year and accompanied the team from the race to the airport to close out the 2019 season.

“In professional cycling, one of the things I appreciate the most is a team that honors the race. Paris-Tours first ran in 1896 and honoring it is no mean feat. On Sunday, I had the privilege of documenting a team doing just that. They put the Canadian champ in the day’s break, they stayed attentive at the front of the bunch all day and they put a rider in the final selection. At the end of a long and difficult season, it’s hard to ask for more. All I can say is: “chapeau!” – Ethan Glading
